Spitfires, Hurricanes and Avro Lancaster to fill Cambridgeshire Skies This Weekend

A trio of iconic aircraft will be taking to the skies over Cambridgeshire this weekend

The aircraft are:

• A Spitfire, the most famous fighter plane of the Second World War
• A Hurricane, another fighter plane that played a vital role in the Battle of Britain
• An Avro Lancaster, a heavy bomber that was used to attack targets in Germany

The aircraft will be taking part in a flypast over Duxford Airfield on Sunday 18th September

The flypast will be part of the Duxford Air Show, which is one of the biggest air shows in the UK.

The air show will feature a variety of aircraft, from vintage planes to modern jets. There will also be a number of other attractions, including a funfair, food stalls, and live music.

The flypast is a great opportunity to see some of the most iconic aircraft in history
